Hola, I am Señorita Sair, and I’d like to tell you a little about my background. I graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with majors in Spanish and Psychology. While in college, I played on the tennis team and helped start the club softball team, which is now varsity. Then, after receiving my teaching certificate from North Park University, I completed a Master’s Degree in Spanish with an Emphasis in Teaching from the University of Northern Iowa. During the Master’s program I studied in Spain and Mexico. I have also had the opportunity to travel throughout South America and to Cuba, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and Nicaragua. During the first semester of the 2005-2006 school year I was on a Fulbright Teacher Exchange in Mexico City. Since 2002 I have volunteered as a Spanish interpreter at Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. I truly love teaching Spanish and doing so at the junior high level; this is my ninth year at Wilmette Junior High.
