El proyecto:
Verdades y Mentiras
The PowerPoint Template:
2smith_veryman.ppt
First, take care of the "meat":
1. Slide #2 - Replace the text that is in each box with your own. Type or paste each of your sentences into one of the text boxes that was on the template. Have 5 sentences or more on this slide.
2. The Response Slides:
Slides #3, 4, 5, 6 & 7 - (You may have more slides, depending on how many sentences you have on slide #2.)
a. The response should be either VERDAD orMENTIRA.
b. In that same text box, you need to have one sentence that provides more detail.
i. To think of what to write, try to answer the 5 Ws (who, what, where, when, why).
Do NOT include allof the answers to the 5Ws, just choose the most interesting details that you can say in Spanish.
c. On the bottom of the slide you should still have the text box that says, “Regresa a las frases.”
EXAMPLES (Of course yours need to be in SPANISH.):
1. If my statement on slide #2 is, "There are five people in my family." Then, on the response slide I could say, "True. I have an older brother, a younger sister and my parents."
OR
2. If my statement on slide #2 is, "I love roller coasters." Then, on the response slide I could say, "Lie. I don't like roller coasters at all, but Six Flags is still fun."
3. An image, photo, image, graphic, etc.
i. On each of the “response slides” you need to have 1 image
Examples:
i. For the “response slide” with the statement, "There are five people in my family," I could use a photo of my family OR a family tree.
ii. For the “response slide” to the statement,, "I love roller coasters," I could use an image of a "barf bag" or one of a roller coaster. I could even Photoshop myself onto a picture to make it look like I'm on a roller coaster, and then I can make my face a little green too!

After you finish preparing the "meat" of the project, read below to see the possible "spices" or "sprinkles" that you would like to add.
Check out the helpful links listed below to learn how to do these "extras":
i. Add sound
ii. Add images
iii. Add animations, transitions . . .
iv. Move layers in front / back . . .
v. Adjust image transparency
vi. Adjust colors, fonts, etc.
1) Choose a topic from the list on the left side:
http://www.microsoft.com/mac/help.mspx?app=3
2) http://edtech.guhsd.net/dtabnk/powerpoint_intro.pdf
3) PowerPoint 2008: Quick Reference Card

If those don't help, you can ask a classmate if he or she can help, or, you can search on Google, or click on the Help menu at the top of the PowerPoint window.
